We are so sad to hear that they will be closing at the end of November. We love coming here every time we are in Princeville. Their food is super delicious and cheap. Everyone should try this place out before they close.

All I can say is wow to the Chili Pepper Chicken! After talking to our hotel clerk and took several recommendations from him, this was the place I was looking forward to the most. The restaurant is in the gas station on the corner. There is no seating so plan on eating in your car or taking it to a park or the beach. The service was just ok. Nothing special. But that chicken tho!!! Holy chick! Breaded and perfectly fried tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce. This was served with a Hawaiian style Mac salad and a generous portion of steamed Calrose rice yummmmm! I bought a bottle of locally made chili pepper water (Hawaiian style hot sauce) to douse my lunch. Glad I took this recommendation and I will definitely be back and ordering the same thing every time I visit Kauai!

Loved this authentic Hawaiian food! It's in the back of a gas station and they have odd hours, but so happy we found this little spot. I only wish we had found it earlier in our trip.

Don't let the "gas station" deter you from this place. From the outside you'll ask yourself if this is really a restaurant. Once you go inside they have a nice selection of burgers and local food. We had the sriracha chicken sandwich with a side of fries and loco moco. The chicken sandwich was huge made with real chicken and very flavorful. The Loco Moco was the star. 2 huge hamburger Pattie's covered with two perfect eggs with rice, signature Mac salad and brown gravy. Don't miss out on this special place the next time your on the North Shore!

If you're in the Princeville area and you want to eat like a local, you have to check this place out! Large servings of onolicious food, Hawaiian style, at very reasonable, if not cheap, prices! The bill for these 3 items were about what a hamburger was at a place we looked at before. No tables inside but there are tables and a counter outside. One of my favorite things to do in Hawaii is to interact with the locals, which doesn't happen often in resort areas. The cashier here fit the bill with her playful banter and adding to my name (Don Ho!) A fun experience with good food!

Was surprised at the lack of Hawaiian plate lunches in the area (I LOVE plate lunches when I visit the islands). Through some digging, I found some decent reviews for this place. Super happy we gave it a shot! Enjoyed the katsu and loco moco. Decadent and great. The Mac salad kind of gave potato salad vibes. Wasn't bad, but didn't quite scratch that itch for me. Prices were great. Kind of an odd setup, cramped in the little general store, but worth the wait. Would for sure go back again.

Winnah winnah chicken dinnah. This plate by far has one of the best chili peppa chicken I ever had and for a general store at a gas station this place blew what I thought right out the window. I 100% would come back again just for that plate. It was very filling and not to mention the service from the wahines inside was so welcoming and willing to help. They knew what they were known for and made it aware to me so I jumped the gun and boy was that a great decision. Mahalo nui to the staff and cooks. Big was ono.

I keep hearing about their chili pepper chicken and that has been on my list to try. Though their hamburger steak caught my eye so that's what I got. Who can say no to sauteed onions and mushrooms smothered in gravy? It comes with a yummy mac/potato salad too. Will have to get that chili pepper chicken next time.

Called in for take out pizza and it was ready within 20 minutes. Adding the cheesy garlic bread and hot wings. Pizza was alright, Garlic bread was good and the wings were great! Sorry I did take pictures, we were starving.
